Integration

Robotic systems integration is not a “do-it-yourself” project.  Anyone who tells you differently does not have your best interests in mind.  You need to have in-depth knowledge of the process, the product, the robot’s capabilities, the other components in the cell, the personnel involved, and how it all interfaces.  You could attempt to put it all together yourself, but the price for failure is usually too high to risk making a mistake.  So where do you go?

 You can call the robot manufacturers – they have integration specialists.  But although they know their products inside and out, often they don’t have the expertise needed for certain related-equipment issues.  We don’t recommend flipping through the yellow pages, either.  Frankly, successful systems integrators aren’t exactly a dime a dozen.
